Fanning winds of change!

Welcome to another business year. We have all had our challenges over these past 12 months and we’re happy to report the year at Davies, Craig Pty Ltd has ended on a high showing an 11% increase in Electric Water Pump sales over the corresponding period last year.

Highlights of the year:

DAVIES CRAIG - EWP115 - ELECTRIC WATER PUMPDAVIES CRAIG - EWP - DIGITAL CONTROLLER

∞ Davies Craig Pty Ltd launched the all-new EWP115 Electric Water Pump (Part #8025) last December. This all-new Electric Water Pump is lighter, more compact and more powerful offering a high volume 115 litres/min of coolant flow. We launched simultaneously, the EWP115 Combination Pack (Part #8030) which includes the Digital Controller. These two new engine cooling products have proven to be a huge hit with sales in the first 6 months exceeding our overall projections.

∞ Davies Craig Pty Ltd released its updated Digital Controller. The Digital Controller (Part #8020) will now manage dual functions, controlling the Electric Water Pump AND operating the vehicle’s electric Thermatic Fan. The Digital Controller has been a revelation with the ‘smart’ electronic pulse width modulation (pwm) operating our range of Electric Water Pumps, controlling coolant flow commensurate with engine temperature. Now the Controller can perform the function of the Thermal Switch, turning your electric Thermatic Fan on when the engine temperature reaches 3◦C above the Controller target temperature, switching off automatically when the engine temperature drops below the target temperature.

∞As part of its continuous improvement program Davies Craig invested heavily in two state-of-the-art product testing machines. To further scrutinize ever increasing sales volumes of our Electric Water Pumps, a Mass Flow Leak Tester and Pressure Decay Tester (pictured over) have been installed in the production line. The Mass Flow leak tester is a one-step process designed to pick up any abnormalities in the EWP80 pump. This specific high pressure test determines whether there are any abnormalities such as leaks and provides an excellent high quality test standard and review process. The Pressure Decay Tester will monitor pressure over a given time to determine to any deterioration in pressure of the new EWP115 pump. Both test methods yield finer accuracy and are valuable additions to our EWP production process.

With increased demands on pump performance and durability, the Electric Water Pump is fast becoming a more popular mode of engine cooling management as the benefits of independent electric water pump operation is becoming accepted.
